Earth Day Nails


Hello everybody! As you may know, Earth Day is today and to celebrate I thought I would do an Earth inspired mani. When scrolling through Instagram I came across a tutorial for a saran wrap design and since I’d never done it before I decided I’d give it a shot.

The polishes I used for this design were Sally Hansen’s Insta-Dri shades in “Brisk Blue” (#430) and “In Record Lime” (#50), Xtreme Wear’s, “White On” (#300), and Revlon’s Base + Top Coat (#965). I also used 10 small squares of saran wrap.

For this design I started with my blue base color and let the dry. Then I applied generous globs (that word is so gross, but that’s the best way to describe it) of each of my 3 colors randomly on my nail. I laid the saran wrap over my nail and patted gently until the colors were evenly spread and blended.  After that dried I applied my top coat and it’s done!

I hope you all like this design and if you haven’t tried a saran wrap design before you should do it because it’s actually quite simple. I made a video tutorial which you can watch here. Hello everyone! If you live in America then tomorrow is an exciting day for you, full of celebration. With that celebration comes amazing fireworks. So, without further a do here are my Independence Day firework nails. The polishes I used were Sally Hansen's "Co-balt Blue" (#320), "Red My Lips" (#470), "Silver Sweep" (#230), and "Grape Shifter" (#423), NYC's "French White Tip" (#134), and Blackheart Beauty's "Deep Sky Blue". Green + Gold Accent Nail

Hello everyone! I wanted to do one more simple St. Patrick’s day nail design before I did the complex stuff. This is super easy and will last a while. Here’s what you’ll need. The polishes I used were Sally Hansen’s Insta-Dri shade “In Record Lime” (#50), Essie’s “Good As Gold” (#941), and my new Base + Top Coat by Revlon (#965). I also used gold glitter from SHANY's Nail Art Decoration Kit. First, I used one layer of the Revlon’s Base + Top coat to protect my nail. I am hoping that this will prevent any more staining that way my nails can grow out and be stain free before prom. Anyway, I painted all my nails, except the ring finger, with my green polish and sealed that off with a top coat. For my ring finger nail I painted two coats of my gold polish and let that dry (this is here just in case the glitter doesn’t reach all areas of the nail). Miracle Gel "Game of Chromes" Review

Hello everyone! I recently purchased another nail polish from Sally Hansen’s Miracle Gel collection called “Game of Chromes” (#510) and I thought I’d write a review for it today. Frist of all, the name is genius. Secondly, lol, the color is gorgeous. It is really shiny and when you move your fingers under the light it kind of looks like it switches between silver and gold, like a hologram or something. It is just a really nice color if you are looking for a solid nail design that isn't super boring. I also really liked the formula of the polish. It went on very smoothly (just like the others from the line did) and it was opaque with one coat. When I used the top coat (which you have to buy separately unless you get a kit and it’s expensive but whatever), it lasted a long time with no chips.
