Hey everybody! So if you are like me, you love holiday themed nail designs. For Valentine’s Day this year I was going to use baby pink, but the polish I had was like 5 million years old and I’m like NOPE NEVER MIND. So… lol I picked a medium pink and decided to do a different design on each nail. The polishes I used were Revlon’s Base + Top Coat, Sally Hansen’s Insta-Dri shade in “Presto Pink” (#15), Miracle Gel shade in “Wine Stock” (#480), and Formula X’s “Love Chemistry”. I also used a nail dotter for the designs and a nail gem thing from a nail art kit I have (I don’t remember what it’s called if you want to know search through blogposts sorz). On my ring finger I did my accent nail with a gold glitter and the rest of my nails had the pink base color. To match the gold accent nail I had a nail art piece that was a gold heart, so I decided to put that on my thumb near the cuticle. As you can see, some pink polish got on the heart, but oh well lol. Hello everyone! For my last Valentine's design I decided to stop stealing ideas off of my Pinterest board and try to come up with something on my own. I haven’t seen a design like this yet (that doesn’t mean there isn’t one though), so I’d like to present you with Cupid’s bow and arrow nails! The colors I used for this design were Sally Hansen’s Insta-Dri shades in “Pink Blink” (#205) and “Rapid Red” (#280), and Essie’s “Mink Muffs” (#624).   I also used a nail art brush and a nail dotter. To start off I painted my nails with “Pink Blink”. The color is beautiful, but since the polish is so old it took 3 coats lol; I need to buy a new one. Hello everyone! The third Valentine’s Day design I have for you is quite simple, yet appropriate for the occasion; it's a neutral, polka dot mani with a cute little accent heart. I had originally planned to do a French tip, but my thumb nail finally gave up and broke, so I had to change things up. The colors I used for this design were Essie’s “Eternal Optimist” (#144) and “Licorice” (#720). I also used a small nail dotter. I started off with Eternal Optimist, which is a really nice mauve pink. I haven’t used this color in a while, but I really do love it. It's actually one of the first colors I remember posting about on Instagram before I ruined it with badly drawn lines that I didn't have nail art brushes for lol. Anyway, using my nail dotter, I made four columns of black polka dots. I basically dotted in straight lines until the nail was filled. Hello everyone! For Valentine’s Day tutorial #2 I took inspiration from Pinterest to create a simple heart nail design. This one is ultra simple and quick, but it’s so adorable.   Here’s what you’ll need. The colors I used were Sally Hansen’s Miracle Gel polish in the shade “Pink Tank” (#220), Essie “Good as Gold” (#941), and Essie “Rock at the Top” (#962). I also used a nail dotter from Bundle Monster.  To start off, I painted all my nails using my pink polish and let it dry. Next, I used the Miracle Gel top coat to seal the polish and make it last an extra long time. Using a nail dotter I dotted a small heart by the cuticle of all my nails. Finally, I added the gold glitter to the hearts for an extra touch. I hope you all like this design!   Hello everyone! Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and to give you guys some nail inspiration I decided to do four Valentine’s Day tutorials. To start them off I am doing heartbeat nails (which I haven’t done since 2013!). Let’s do this! The colors I used for this design were Sally Hansen’s Salon Manicure shade in “Red My Lips” (#470) and Xtreme Wear shade in “White On” (#300). I also used a thin nail art brush from Bundle Monster. First, you will need to paint a base coat of red. I used two coats of this polish and it is such a beautiful color, but I won’t drone on about it because (spoiler alert) I’m putting a review of it up next Wednesday. Anyway, using your thin nail art brush you will need to paint skinny, zigzag lines, going in a vertical direction, to represent a heartbeat monitor.
