This is my last post... HA! GOT YOU APRIL FOOLS. Ok, seriously lol.
Hello everyone! For the month of April I am doing a nail art challenge and the design for April 1st is flowers. I didn’t want to do the normal flower design that I’ve done before so I decided to switch it up and do dandelions! Yeah I know dandelions are technically weeds… let them live their dream.
The polishes I used for this design were Sally Hansen’s
Insta-Dri shades in “Blue-Away” (#425) and “Black to Black” (#360), and Xtreme
Wear shade “White On” (#300). I also used some thin nail are brushes and my
Revlon top coat (which I reviewed on Sunday *winkwink*).
I started off with my blue base color and let that dry. Then
using a thin nail art brush I painted a stem in black on my index finger. In
white I made the dandelion puff by painting in small, short strokes all the way
around the top of the stem. I left a little bit of the circle incomplete
because, instead of painting a dandelion on each nail, I painted dandelion…
petal… puff things floating across my other nails. I added a clear coat and
ta-da! It’s finished.
I hope you guys like this design. If you want to see a video
tutorial for this design click here. My schedule for April will be a bit
different because of the nail challenge, but I will see you on Sunday for my
Easter design. BYYEEE
