Galaxy Nails

Hello everyone! I have a special design for you guys today that I have been wanting to do for a very long time. I’d say these galaxy nails turned out pretty well :). Keep reading if you want to know how easy they can actually be.

The polishes I used were Revlon’s “Black Star” (#880), Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear shades in “White On” (#300) and “Blue Me Away!” (#04), Insta-Dri shades in “Pronto Purple” (#360) and “Silver Sweep” (#230), and Blackheart Beauty “Daydream Scream”. You’ll also need a makeup sponge, a small nail dotter, and some optional star glitter.

To start off your design you will need a black base coat. The black I chose has a bit of shine to it, but you can use a solid black as well. Next, take a makeup sponge (I used the triangle ones) and on one corner paint a bit of white polish. Now listen up because this next part is really, really, really important; DAB OFF THE EXCESS POLISH. If you don’t dab off the excess polish you will not get the desired galaxy effect, but instead a white blob on your nail. You want the polish to look like a galaxy, so you want to use just a small amount of polish; you can always add more. Anyway, pat the white polish onto your nail to make a thick line. The lines can be random and different on each nail, it doesn’t matter. Now, put some light blue polish on another corner of your makeup sponge, get the excess polish off, and pat the blue on top of the white polish, leaving the middle of the line still white. Next, I took my other blueish-purple polish and patted that in the middle. I didn’t make a huge difference honestly, so you could leave the part out (I thought it would help blend, but it wasn’t the right opacity). Then you can add the purple polish to the middle of your line and add some silver around the outer edges.

Now it’s time to add some detail. This is where the nail dotter comes in. Add a few white dots to each of your nails, in places that look empty or not as well blended. I also added some star shaped glitter pieces onto a couple of my nails for an extra touch. Add a top coat and voila! A beautiful galaxy is at your fingertips.

Galaxy nails may seem intimidating, but they actually are pretty easy. You don’t have to make each nail look the same and you don’t need to copy someone else’s design exactly; you can experiment and make them your own. I hope you all like this design! If you would like to see a video tutorial you can watch it here. Now that it is March get ready for some St. Patrick’s Day designs. BYYEEE

Firework Nails

Hello everyone! If you live in America then tomorrow is an exciting day for you, full of celebration. With that celebration comes amazing fireworks. So, without further a do here are my Independence Day firework nails. The polishes I used were Sally Hansen's "Co-balt Blue" (#320), "Red My Lips" (#470), "Silver Sweep" (#230), and "Grape Shifter" (#423), NYC's "French White Tip" (#134), and Blackheart Beauty's "Deep Sky Blue". I also used a nail dotter to create the fireworks. I started by painting the base colors on my nails, alternating the colors on each finger, and letting that dry. I chose to do my fireworks on the navy blue nails, but you can do them on the red or even on all the nails if you choose. For the fireworks I started with a dot for the center of the firework and added a red star there. Remember, the center of the firework does not have to be in the center of the nail (I only did that on one nai...

Suncoat Natural Nail Polish Remover First Impression

Hello everyone! Today I have a review for Suncoat’s Natural Nail Polish Remover. My mom recently purchased this online at Amazon, which at the moment is $5.68 for 60ml. It is a corn and soya based nail polish remover with only 4 ingredients, which is significantly healthier than regular polish remover. It comes in either a 30ml or 60ml glass bottle (1oz or 2oz) which is better than plastic because the chemicals in plastic bottles will soak into the remover as well, and that’s bad for you. The directions say to put it on your nails with a Q tip or cotton ball, let soak, and rub off until the polish is removed; basically, it works just like normal removers. I had my mom test it on the 4 th of July nail design and the new glitter polish I got (I test my designs on her first ok) and she gave me a review. She said that it was very very oily, but it is oil so that’s what you’d expect. It took longer to remove than what it would for normal polish remover, but it worked just as well....

Miracle Gel Swatches

Hey guys! I know this post is late, but now that school has started back up all I ever do is homework. It's ridiculous I don't do anything anymore (not that I ever did lol). Anyway enough excuses. I did these swatches forever ago, like October of last year, so my memory of these colors are a distant memory. However, I didn't have a post planned so I thought I would show you these. The deep red color is "Wine Stock" (#480). I really like this color and it would be a great holiday nail color. However, because I love red nail polish, especially deep red, I will wear this whenever I want. As every other Miracle Gel polish I own, this is a great polish. I believe this was only one coat as well which is super cool. The other color is "All Chalked Up" (#230) and it is a pastel purple color. This color is very light-hearted and cute looking which I appreciate when it is dreary outside and I get sad. This is also a great Easter color (apparently I l...
