Green + Gold Accent Nail

Hello everyone! I wanted to do one more simple St. Patrick’s day nail design before I did the complex stuff. This is super easy and will last a while. Here’s what you’ll need. The polishes I used were Sally Hansen’s Insta-Dri shade “In Record Lime” (#50), Essie’s “Good As Gold” (#941), and my new Base + Top Coat by Revlon (#965). I also used gold glitter from SHANY's Nail Art Decoration Kit. First, I used one layer of the Revlon’s Base + Top coat to protect my nail. I am hoping that this will prevent any more staining that way my nails can grow out and be stain free before prom. Anyway, I painted all my nails, except the ring finger, with my green polish and sealed that off with a top coat. For my ring finger nail I painted two coats of my gold polish and let that dry (this is here just in case the glitter doesn’t reach all areas of the nail). Next, I painted on a layer of clear coat and quickly dipped my whole nail in the gold glitter . Brush off the excess glitter an...

Nail Strips Are Revolutionary

Hello everyone! For Christmas I received these nail strips by Sally Hansen Salon Effects and I thought that I might as well try them out. I have never used nail strips before because I always felt like it was cheating; I like to do things myself. However, my opinion has changed because these things are great lol. Before I forget, the nail polish I used for the rest of my nails was Essie’s “Licorice” (#720). I have always wanted to do my nails like this (with the cursive writing), but I knew that I wouldn’t be able to do it by hand. As I said, I was always hesitant to use nail strips and I never knew if they were worth buying. Turns out they are worth buying and I’m just crazy. They are so convenient and they last (as long as I need them to anyway) and there are a lot of designs to choose from. The nail strips by Sally Hansen come with 16 nail polish strips in different sizes and I guarantee that there will be one that’s the right size for you (unless your nails are baby tiny...

Accent Nail/”Flashy Fuchsia” Review

Hey everyone! This week I did another accent nail because I’m very busy. I actually like this accent nail more than the first lol. The colors I used for this week were Sally Hansen’s Insta-Dri in the color “Flashy Fuchsia” (#220), Essie “Licorice” (#720), and Wet n Wild “Sparked” (#435G).  All I did for this design was paint my nails with the color “Flashy Fuchsia” and then on my ring finger nail I made diagonal lines with a nail art brush. I started with 3 lines in black and then 3 glitter lines right next to those, a little bit overlapping actually. I want to give a quick review on the color “Flashy Fuchsia” since this isn’t really much of a tutorial (I think most are self-explanatory). I’ve always loved this color; it’s like a hot pink with a little shine in it. It is great like most of the other colors in the Insta-Dri collection. Since the color really pops it’s more of a spring and summer color, which means I'll have to wait a while to use it again lol. Wel...

Accent Nail: Geometric Gradient

Hey everyone! I’m sure I’ll be doing a lot of accent nails now that school has started. Accent nails are easy, fast, and doing only one nail makes your designs pop. This design was inspired by a photo I saw on Pinterest (typical). The colors I used were Sally Hansen’s Xtreme Wear “White On” (#300), Insta-Dri “Instant Iris” (#480), “Vigorous Violet” (#365), and “Pronto Purple” (#360). This design is really easy. I started with a base coat and then a coat of white. Then I used painter’s tape and cut the pieces into thin strips, placing them on my nail to make a checker-like pattern (whatever it’s called). Next I applied my other 3 colors to a makeup sponge and patted it on my nail. I did this several times to make it opaque. Then I removed the tape and added a top coat. It’s really that easy! The remaining nails were painted with the solid color “Vigorous Violet”. That’s all for today! Video is up here . BYYEEE
