Thanksgiving Nails

Hello everyone! Today is Thanksgiving and I figured I should do a festive nail design since I skipped the whole month of November on my blog last year. I decided to go for the classic turkey. The colors I used were Sally Hansen’s Insta-Dri shades in “Sand Storm” (#113) and “Lightening” (#280), Triple Shine shade in “Taheati” (#620), Xtreme Wear shades in “White On” (#300) and “Black Out” (#28), Essie “Mink Muffs” (#624), and a random Markwins International polish I stole from my mom’s bathroom because I couldn’t find my red polish anywhere.  I started with the tan base color on all my nails. For the thumb I took dark brown to make the turkey’s body using a nail art brush. The body is just a semi-circle with a small circle above it. I then used a dotter to add two white circles for eyes and a smaller dotter for the black pupils. I used a thin nail art brush for the orange beak. The multi-colored feathers where added behind the turkey’s body to represent its tail. For the

Striped Nails: Nail Art November!

Hey everyone! Sally Hansen has been doing #NailArtNov on Instagram and the 18 th was glitter. I decided to go with a subtle glitter design and take a Pinterest look (which I’ve always wanted to do). Before I start, yes, I do have a wound on my pinky finger; I cut it on a sharp piece of metal under a desk (school is so safe). Anyway, here’s how I did this look. The colors I used for this design were Sally Hansen’s Xtreme Wear shade in “Black Out” (#28), Triple Shine shade in “Pearly Whites” (#300), Wet n wild shade in “Tough Girl” (#34206), and Candie’s shade “Concrete Jungle” (#2191). I started with the lighter gray, since two stripes of that color show. Then I painted, free hand of course, a black stripe, covering the tip of my nail, and a dark gray stripe in the middle of my nail. Over top of the first light gray stripe I added a coat of glitter. Finally, I added a top coat for protection and it was done! Not that hard, right? I had pinned this look a long time ago

Black French Tips

Hello everyone! This week I did a simple design as requested by one of my best friends. I did a bright blue with black tips. The colors I used for this tutorial were Sally Hansen’s Insta-Dri shade in “Brisk Blue” (#430) and Xtreme wear shade in “Black Out” (#28). For the tips I used PERFECT Tips by nailene. To do this design all you need to do is apply your blue base coat and wait for it to dry completely. Next, apply the French tip stickers by the tops of each nail, adjusting the thickness to your liking, and paint the black polish on. Wait about 10 seconds before removing the stickers so the polish will have a chance to set. Add a top coat and you’re done! That’s all for this week, but I have some big stuff coming up in the near future, so look forward to that. BYYEEE

My Candle Collection

Hello everyone! So, you may not know this about me, but I have a huge obsession with candles. I have bought a lot of candles throughout this year and I just wanted to show them to you. If you find candles at all exciting here they are. First of all, I keep all the candles that I am not using for the season in this box. I got this box for Christmas (obviously lol) last year, I think, and it had a lot of goodies in it before I emptied it out. Honestly, I think I need a bigger box because I buy so many candles on a regular basis now. Every time I go to the store during the holidays or season changes, they will have huge boxes in the aisles with seasonal, mini candles, and without fail I buy at least two lol. The scents from left to right are sweet pea, cranberry pear, hazelnut cream, apple pumpkin, cinnamon pecan swirl, creamy vanilla swirl, and fresh melon slice.  The bigger candles that I have are key lime pie, soothing vanilla, and mandarin vanilla. I haven’t used the ma

Matte Nails

Hey everyone! Sorry this is up a little late, but I had a lot to do today. Either way, here I am with another matte nail design. The colors I used for this design were Sally Hansen’s Insta-Dri shades in “Wined Up” (#350) and “Sand Storm” (#113) and Sally Hansen’s Big Matte Top Coat. I started with a neutral base which, now that I think about it, I should have done the red first, but whatever lol. I painted the red over top leaving a tan triangle by the cuticles. Finally, I painted over the whole nail with the matte top coat. This design is easy and perfect for fall. I free handed it, hence why only the thumb is good lol, but you do whatever you want (you do you as Tyler Oakley would say).  That is all for now, but I might do a post on Wednesday if I feel like it. Until then BYYEEE
