Italia Eyeliner Haul/Review

So, I recently made another impulse amazon purchase, really late at night might I add, for some eyeliners. I seem to have some weird obsession with buying makeup in bulk, even though I know it will take forever to use, and I just keep buying more. Either way, I’m happy with this purchase. I got this set of 12 Italia pencil eyeliners for $6! That is super cheap and the reviews were good so I couldn’t resist. All the colors are really cool and the eyeliner glides on very smoothly; it was an amazing deal. I’ll show you the colors, but please ignore my unkempt eyebrows and ugly skin (nobody is perfect lol). Top: Green (1008) Bottom: Avocado (1016) Top: Electric Blue (1020) Bottom: Neon Blue (1006) Top: Lavender (1010) Bottom: Neon Purple (1022) Top: Silver (1005) Bottom: Gold (1011) Top: Light Brown (1003) Bottom: Mocha (1014) Top: Black (1001) Bottom: Rosa (1013) Hope you all liked this haul/review thing. I’ll probably be doing more make up re

Sinful Colors “Mint Tropics” Review

Hey everyone! I've noticed that if I don’t do my nails on Sunday I get too lazy or too busy to do designs throughout the week lol. So I’m here with another review. This week I decided to use Sinful Colors “Mint Tropics” (#1443), which I've only used one other time. I think I've mentioned before that I’m not that fond of the brand Sinful Colors (I got this as a gift I didn't buy it for myself). It’s not that Sinful Colors is a bad brand or anything; I just don’t prefer it. Every time I use this brand of polish I notice a couple things. The polish goes on nicely, but it quickly starts to get bubbles in it after the polish gets a few months old. Also, you may think it’s dry, but if you hit it even slightly the polish will push off your nail completely. It doesn't just get a dent in it; It actually comes off. The formula is quite sticky at this stage too. Some good things about this brand is obviously the colors. “Mint Tropics” is a beautiful color and I

Bare Minerals Makeup Haul/Review

So, recently my mom purchased me a 30 day starter kit from Bare Minerals in light for warm/neutral skin tones. It comes with a cute travel sized primer, foundation, concealer, finishing powder, and two brushes. The primer is a clear gel that you put a light coat of all over your face and it’s supposed to remove excess oils or dry flakes. I wasn’t expecting it to be clear, I thought it would look like lotion or something (I don’t usually use primer lol). I actually like the primer; it glides on smoothly and I feel like it works quite well. Then again, I don’t really have oily/dry skin so I’m not sure what it would be like if you did. However, I have noticed it does make the makeup stay on longer, which is good. Next, is the powder foundation. I am used to using liquid foundation, but I was pleasantly surprised with this. I didn’t expect it to have the amount of coverage that it did and, just like the infomercial, the more you buff the more coverage you get. I

Candie's "Concrete Jungle" Review - Part 2

Hey everyone! I didn't do anything special with my nails this week (because I'm lazy), so I thought I would use a color I haven't used in  while. The polish is Candie's "Concrete Jungle" (#2191) and I have done a review before on my old blog , but the picture I had was taken on my iPod touch and it sucked. Either way, my feelings for this polish are still the same. I love the color, it spreads evenly, it dries quickly, and it doesn't chip. Out of all the neutral colored polishes I own, this one is definitely my favorite. I also just really really REALLY love the bottle lol. There is nothing about this polish that I don't like. I would for sure recommend that you try it. That's all for now, but I'll be back on Sunday (hopefully) with a make up review. BYYEEE

Accent Nail: Geometric Gradient

Hey everyone! I’m sure I’ll be doing a lot of accent nails now that school has started. Accent nails are easy, fast, and doing only one nail makes your designs pop. This design was inspired by a photo I saw on Pinterest (typical). The colors I used were Sally Hansen’s Xtreme Wear “White On” (#300), Insta-Dri “Instant Iris” (#480), “Vigorous Violet” (#365), and “Pronto Purple” (#360). This design is really easy. I started with a base coat and then a coat of white. Then I used painter’s tape and cut the pieces into thin strips, placing them on my nail to make a checker-like pattern (whatever it’s called). Next I applied my other 3 colors to a makeup sponge and patted it on my nail. I did this several times to make it opaque. Then I removed the tape and added a top coat. It’s really that easy! The remaining nails were painted with the solid color “Vigorous Violet”. That’s all for today! Video is up here . BYYEEE

Back to School Nails: Paper Edition

Hey everyone! So I went back to school on Wednesday and I decided I needed a nail look that would be somewhat school spirited. I always see nails that look like paper or pencils and I’ve always wanted to try it… so I did lol. The colors I used for this were Sally Hansen’s Xtreme Wear in the shades ”White On” (#300), “Blue Me Away!” (#04), and “Fuchsia Power” (#23).   I started with Sally Hansen’s base and top coat and then one coat of the white. Next, I took a small brush and painted three, horizontal blue lines on all my nails. Finally, for the reddish-pink line on the side of the paper, I used the fuchsia color to make a vertical line on the left side. Finish it off with a top coat and you’re done! It’s super easy and cute. That’s all for this week (sorry but I don’t think I’ll get a Wednesday post in). My video tutorial for this look is up here . Hope you all like it and make sure you tell me what you want to see next! BYYEEE

Healthy Green Smoothie Recipe

Hey everyone! Lately I have drinking a lot of green smoothies and I thought I’d share my recipe with you. This recipe serves two, but I usually drink it all myself lol. You can tweak this recipe to your liking; maybe add some flax or chia seed for even more nutrients. What you will need: ·          ½ - ¾ C Almond milk (unsweetened) ·          2 kiwi ·          1 pear ·          1 apple ·          1 banana (small-medium) ·          1 C baby kale ·          1 C baby spinach ·          Ice (4 cubes) Hope you all like this recipe! I made a video as well so check that out here . If you’d like to see more smoothie recipes let me know, and leave a comment below telling me other things you’d like to see in the future. This Sunday, I’ll post my back to school nail tutorial. BYYEEE

Mermaid Nail Tutorial

Hey guys! Sorry there was no Wednesday blog post, but I was quite busy. School is starting back in less than a week and since I have 3 AP classes this year and graduation/college applying to deal with, I don’t know how many Wednesday blog posts I’ll be able to do. I’ll still upload every Sunday and try to do posts on Wednesdays as much as I can. Anyway, this week I did mermaid inspired nails. I started with two coats of Sally Hansen’s Miracle Gel polish in “Combustealble” (#540), which I love just as much (maybe even more) than the “Electra-cute” shade. Next, I used Xtreme Wear “Black Out” (#28) and a skinny nail brush to paint mermaid-like scales. I chose to do only two nails on each hand to make it stand out more. Finally I came in with Triple Shine “Pearly Whites” (#300) to add glitter to the scales as well as glitter tips (using a sponge) for the other nails on my hand.  I hope you all like this look!
