Santa Nails

Hello everyone! First of all, I hope you guys have a wonderful Christmas or whatever holiday you may celebrate; spend time with family and spread joy with the gifts you give. I know I said I’d post twice before Christmas, but I have been busy and I just didn’t have time. I hope that’s ok. Anyway, this last nail design has the potential to be two, but I put them together to make the ultimate Santa nails! Here’s what you’ll need.

The polishes I used for this design were Sally Hansen’s Insta-Dri shades in “Rapid Red” (#280) and “Sand Storm” (#113), Xtreme Wear shades in “White On” (#300) and “Black Out” (#28), and Essie’s “Good as Gold” (#941). I also used a nail dotter.

The first part of this design is Santa’s belt. I started with a red base on my thumb and let that dry. Then I painted a white stripe vertically down the middle of my nail. Next, I added a black, horizontal line in the middle of my nail. Finally, using a gold polish I painted the square belt buckle. Add a top coat and you have Santa’s belt!

The second design is Santa himself, which I did on my middle finger nail. I stared with a tan base for his skin. Next, I painted a red stripe by my cuticle for his hat (it doesn’t have to be perfect because you will be adding a white trim to it). Using a dotter and the white polish I added the trim to his hat. I also used white to paint his beard. Finally, I dotted on two black eyes and a red nose. Add a top coat and you have an adorable Santa!

Thank you guys for looking at all my designs from this month; I truly appreciate it. The video tutorial for these nails are up right now, so make sure you check that out here. I have a snowflake design coming before the New Year and also a December favorites, so I guess I’ll see you then. BYYEEE

Double Trouble: Sally Hansen Polish Reviews

Hello everyone and welcome to my double trouble review!! Today I will review two Sally Hansen polishes: Salon Manicure “Red My Lips” (#470) and Miracle Gel “Pink Tank” (#220). These are both new polishes that I have used for my Valentine’s tutorials (look at those if you haven’t) and I will now, very enthusiastically, review them for you. IN THIS CORNER, WEIGHING IN AT 0.5 FLUID OUNCES, WE HAVE A BEAUTIFUL RED POLISH. IT GLIDES SMOOTHLY ONTO THE NAIL AND DRIES VERY QUICKLY. IT IS NOW THE UNDEFEATED CHAMPION AGAINST EVERY OTHER RED POLISH IN MY COLLECTION. IT’S ONLY WEAKNESS IS THAT IT MAY TAKE MULTIPLE COATS BEFORE IT GETS ITS TRUE CHARM. IT WILL TAKE A STRONG POLISH TO DEFEAT THIS SHADE. WELCOME... REDDD MYYY LIPPSSSSS!! *crowd cheering* AND IN THIS CORNER, ALSO WEIGHING IN AT 0.5 FLUID OUNCES, WE HAVE A WONDERFUL HOT PINK SHADE. IT TAKES ONLY ONE COAT FOR THIS POLISH TO SHINE AND SPEED DRYING ISN’T AN ISSUE FOR THIS ONE. DOUBLE TEAMING WITH THE MIRACLE GEL TOP COAT, THIS PO...

Miracle Gel "Game of Chromes" Review

Hello everyone! I recently purchased another nail polish from Sally Hansen’s Miracle Gel collection called “Game of Chromes” (#510) and I thought I’d write a review for it today. Frist of all, the name is genius. Secondly, lol, the color is gorgeous. It is really shiny and when you move your fingers under the light it kind of looks like it switches between silver and gold, like a hologram or something. It is just a really nice color if you are looking for a solid nail design that isn't super boring. I also really liked the formula of the polish. It went on very smoothly (just like the others from the line did) and it was opaque with one coat. When I used the top coat (which you have to buy separately unless you get a kit and it’s expensive but whatever), it lasted a long time with no chips. It still isn’t chipped and I could keep it on, but I redo my nails every week lol. That is all for today, but you can check out my most recent YouTube video here, or look through...

Ombre, Lily Manicure

Hey guys! I know it's been a while, but I have had ZERO clue of what designs to do and I've been doing solid colors all summer. However, last night I decided to practice making my own nail stickers and they turned out super well. I went with two types of lilies, white lilies and purple/white lilies, and decided to put them on a two-toned ombre. For the "stickers" I started with a piece of parchment paper and a clear polish. With the polish I painted 10 rectangles which I would be painting my designs over. I ended up trimming my stickers down to size later so don't worry if the base is a bit too big. After about a minute I began painting my designs over top of the rectangles making sure they weren't too big for my nail beds. I looked at a picture of a lily for reference and then just went for it. I started with the white petals, added the center color, added thin green lines with a nail art brush for stems in the center and finally the brown dots on the ste...
