Nail-Aid 1st Acetone Power Gel Review

Hello everybody! Today, I have decided to review a product that I have recently purchased from Walmart for around $4. If you couldn’t tell from the title this product is 1st Acetone Power Gel by Nail-Aid. I bought the one specifically made for glitter and nail art in hopes that it would make removing my glitter nails easier. Sadly, that wasn’t the case.

The product says that you don’t need any cotton balls and you don’t have to scrub your nails, all you need to do is dip them into the gel, let it sit for four minutes, and sweep it off with a paper towel. That sounds amazing, right! I was so excited to use this, so when my friend came over I tried it out. The first thing I noticed is this gel literally took all the heat from my finger. Gel is cold, I know, but this gel made my finger so so SO cold and my finger cramped up; it was a horrible feeling. I don’t think that my skin is extremely sensitive to temperature, but if yours is and you want to try this product, avoid contact with skin.

I survived the whole four minutes (somehow) and proceeded to rub off the gel. It worked, but only on parts of my nail, mainly the middle bit and even there some glitter was left behind. The gel left all the glitter near my skin and cuticle still on even though I know that my whole nail was covered. At first I thought, maybe I just missed those spots or maybe I should have waited a bit longer than it said. However, I tried again later and I got the same result.

In conclusion, I don’t think buying products like this is worth it. This product was so strong and probably very damaging to the nail. I don’t think it is as effective as it could be, maybe the ones made for dark polishes work ok. What I do when I remove glitter polishes (now that I’ve learned my lesson) is I hold the cotton ball on my nail for like 5 minutes and let the nail remover soak in then rub the glitter off my nail. It isn’t as horrible as some people make it and I’d much rather do that than buy an extra product I don’t really need. If you’d like to try this product feel free to do so or if you’ve had a different experience please let me know. See you on Sunday for a happier post lol. BYYEEE

Firework Nails

Hello everyone! If you live in America then tomorrow is an exciting day for you, full of celebration. With that celebration comes amazing fireworks. So, without further a do here are my Independence Day firework nails. The polishes I used were Sally Hansen's "Co-balt Blue" (#320), "Red My Lips" (#470), "Silver Sweep" (#230), and "Grape Shifter" (#423), NYC's "French White Tip" (#134), and Blackheart Beauty's "Deep Sky Blue". I also used a nail dotter to create the fireworks. I started by painting the base colors on my nails, alternating the colors on each finger, and letting that dry. I chose to do my fireworks on the navy blue nails, but you can do them on the red or even on all the nails if you choose. For the fireworks I started with a dot for the center of the firework and added a red star there. Remember, the center of the firework does not have to be in the center of the nail (I only did that on one nai...

Suncoat Natural Nail Polish Remover First Impression

Hello everyone! Today I have a review for Suncoat’s Natural Nail Polish Remover. My mom recently purchased this online at Amazon, which at the moment is $5.68 for 60ml. It is a corn and soya based nail polish remover with only 4 ingredients, which is significantly healthier than regular polish remover. It comes in either a 30ml or 60ml glass bottle (1oz or 2oz) which is better than plastic because the chemicals in plastic bottles will soak into the remover as well, and that’s bad for you. The directions say to put it on your nails with a Q tip or cotton ball, let soak, and rub off until the polish is removed; basically, it works just like normal removers. I had my mom test it on the 4 th of July nail design and the new glitter polish I got (I test my designs on her first ok) and she gave me a review. She said that it was very very oily, but it is oil so that’s what you’d expect. It took longer to remove than what it would for normal polish remover, but it worked just as well....

Miracle Gel Swatches

Hey guys! I know this post is late, but now that school has started back up all I ever do is homework. It's ridiculous I don't do anything anymore (not that I ever did lol). Anyway enough excuses. I did these swatches forever ago, like October of last year, so my memory of these colors are a distant memory. However, I didn't have a post planned so I thought I would show you these. The deep red color is "Wine Stock" (#480). I really like this color and it would be a great holiday nail color. However, because I love red nail polish, especially deep red, I will wear this whenever I want. As every other Miracle Gel polish I own, this is a great polish. I believe this was only one coat as well which is super cool. The other color is "All Chalked Up" (#230) and it is a pastel purple color. This color is very light-hearted and cute looking which I appreciate when it is dreary outside and I get sad. This is also a great Easter color (apparently I l...
