Bare Minerals Makeup Haul/Review

So, recently my mom purchased me a 30 day starter kit from Bare Minerals in light for warm/neutral skin tones. It comes with a cute travel sized primer, foundation, concealer, finishing powder, and two brushes.

The primer is a clear gel that you put a light coat of all over your face and it’s supposed to remove excess oils or dry flakes. I wasn’t expecting it to be clear, I thought it would look like lotion or something (I don’t usually use primer lol). I actually like the primer; it glides on smoothly and I feel like it works quite well. Then again, I don’t really have oily/dry skin so I’m not sure what it would be like if you did. However, I have noticed it does make the makeup stay on longer, which is good.

Next, is the powder foundation. I am used to using liquid foundation, but I was pleasantly surprised with this. I didn’t expect it to have the amount of coverage that it did and, just like the infomercial, the more you buff the more coverage you get. It lasted the whole day (even with me resting my hand on my face while I was bored in class lol). It is light and looks natural.

I have to add though, the two brushes that this kit came with I don’t really like. I find the foundation brush a bit rough and scratchy. My mom said it was fine though so maybe my skin is just sensitive. The other brush was a concealer brush which is great for applying under the eyes and I like it, but you can’t blend with it easily which I find a waste. I’d rather just use my finger lol.

Speaking of concealer, the powder that comes in this kit works fine, covers well, etc. However, I am not used to the powder concealer and it just isn’t for me. I prefer a liquid type concealer because I feel like they cover more. That is why we also purchased the Bare Minerals Correcting Concealer in Light 2 lol. It’s definitely more my style.

There isn’t much to say about the finishing powder except that it works… it’s not that exciting lol.

I also got one more thing from Bare Minerals and that was mascara. The flawless definition mascara in the color black (so creative) is really great. It has a skinny brush which is good for both top and bottom lashes and it spreads nicely. I’ve really been needed a new mascara and I really like this one.

I’ve only been using these products for a week, but so far I like them. I wanted some makeup that would be less harmful for my skin and Bare Minerals is a well known brand that doesn’t include harsh chemicals. I may just convert to this powder foundation lol. That’s all for this week (sorry there’s no video), but I’ll see you next Sunday.  BYYEEE

Firework Nails

Hello everyone! If you live in America then tomorrow is an exciting day for you, full of celebration. With that celebration comes amazing fireworks. So, without further a do here are my Independence Day firework nails. The polishes I used were Sally Hansen's "Co-balt Blue" (#320), "Red My Lips" (#470), "Silver Sweep" (#230), and "Grape Shifter" (#423), NYC's "French White Tip" (#134), and Blackheart Beauty's "Deep Sky Blue". I also used a nail dotter to create the fireworks. I started by painting the base colors on my nails, alternating the colors on each finger, and letting that dry. I chose to do my fireworks on the navy blue nails, but you can do them on the red or even on all the nails if you choose. For the fireworks I started with a dot for the center of the firework and added a red star there. Remember, the center of the firework does not have to be in the center of the nail (I only did that on one nai...

Suncoat Natural Nail Polish Remover First Impression

Hello everyone! Today I have a review for Suncoat’s Natural Nail Polish Remover. My mom recently purchased this online at Amazon, which at the moment is $5.68 for 60ml. It is a corn and soya based nail polish remover with only 4 ingredients, which is significantly healthier than regular polish remover. It comes in either a 30ml or 60ml glass bottle (1oz or 2oz) which is better than plastic because the chemicals in plastic bottles will soak into the remover as well, and that’s bad for you. The directions say to put it on your nails with a Q tip or cotton ball, let soak, and rub off until the polish is removed; basically, it works just like normal removers. I had my mom test it on the 4 th of July nail design and the new glitter polish I got (I test my designs on her first ok) and she gave me a review. She said that it was very very oily, but it is oil so that’s what you’d expect. It took longer to remove than what it would for normal polish remover, but it worked just as well....

Miracle Gel Swatches

Hey guys! I know this post is late, but now that school has started back up all I ever do is homework. It's ridiculous I don't do anything anymore (not that I ever did lol). Anyway enough excuses. I did these swatches forever ago, like October of last year, so my memory of these colors are a distant memory. However, I didn't have a post planned so I thought I would show you these. The deep red color is "Wine Stock" (#480). I really like this color and it would be a great holiday nail color. However, because I love red nail polish, especially deep red, I will wear this whenever I want. As every other Miracle Gel polish I own, this is a great polish. I believe this was only one coat as well which is super cool. The other color is "All Chalked Up" (#230) and it is a pastel purple color. This color is very light-hearted and cute looking which I appreciate when it is dreary outside and I get sad. This is also a great Easter color (apparently I l...
